January 6, 2023 was arguably the most influential day of my life.  I woke up, took my kids to the sitter, and headed to my boyfriend's where I planned to work for the day.  On my way to his house, I received the following text from my HR person:

"Morning.  I added some time on your calendar.  Can you link up quickly before your (9:00) meeting please?"

Losing my job has proven to be one of the greatest gifts I've ever received.  While I continue to seek a new opportunity that works with our lifestyle, I finally have the one thing I've always needed to feed my lifelong wanderlust:  time.

So until the money runs out, we're throwing caution to the wind and traveling the lower 48.
